Aptamer Scientist

Sweat is a molecular window into human health. At MoleSense, we are building a continuous, multiplexed aptasensing interface to selectively detect ovarian hormones and inflammatory proteins. We are a small, fearless team of scientists and engineers combining imagination with hard work to transform healthcare, starting with the maternity continuum.

Know who should apply?

✔ Highly accomplished MSc or PhD graduates in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Biophysics, Analytical Chemistry, or Synthetic Biology

✔ Demonstrated, hands-on experience with:

  • SELEX variants (small and big-molecule)
  • Affinity and kinetic optimization (pM range)
  • Structure-switching / conformation-responsive aptamers
  • Computational modeling of nucleic acid structure and dynamics
  • Aptamer selection, characterization, and validation
  • ML-enabled macromolecular design or optimization

✔ Experience working with real biological samples, not only buffer systems

Please Do Not Apply If:

✘ You performed SELEX only once during your PhD.
✘ You shadowed someone else running SELEX.
✘ You purchased aptamers, dropped them onto an electrode, and it worked, and you wrote a paper.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Why MoleSense?

You’ll be embedded in a deep tech startup and work closely with the founding team. We offer a competitive salary and a top-notch work location, either at the Biopole campus in Lausanne.
